JL Audio 10W1 vs 10W1v2

Just wondering if there is any sound quality difference in the JL Audio 10W1 and the 10W1v2
Yes. Much of the modeling, design, and engineering done for the flagship W7 has been passed down to the other subs, including the new W1.

While the "W" cone is exclusive to the 6 and 7, the 1 and 3 have their motors DMA optimized to deliver better dynamic stability and low-distortion operation within their intended power envelope, have floating cone attachment and offer enhanced power handling by combining VRC and the elevated frame cooling.

I've owned both.. each 10s... And I liked the originals a lot better than the v2s.. They seemed to be a little cleaner, and seemed to get louder on lower wattages. Had the v1s on 125 a piece ported (been so long, don't remember size/tuning) and hit 134.. Then I had v2s on 220 a piece and didn't sound as good and were on par with output (never metered)
