Jl Audio 1000.1 ?

Do all the amps with 1000+ rms drain a lot of power like the Jl Audio 1000.1 ? Or are there amps that push more without pulling that much battery power ?

I have done the big three,new battery, and have 0 gauge running to the amp.

My lights are still dimming after all these upgrades.

The amp is pushing 2 12" alpine type R.

the Slash 1000/1 is not very good on electrical. THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT IS NOT A GOOD AMP!! Just need the electrical to back it up. I would do a stout rear battery and 1/0 wiring. If you get severe dimming beyond all of that turn your **** gain down!!

Also you will not find a better 1000 rms amplifier IMO... They do well past rated from 1.5-4ohms

The little jx series one isn't too bad.I had one and didnt have dimming... but I also have a little hc 600 back there too.

It is a good amp just needs a lot of power. Should I upgraded my alternator first before installing the second battery ?

Also you will not find a better 1000 rms amplifier IMO... They do well past rated from 1.5-4ohms

Alt. is 3-500.

Battery is a cheaper alternative. Maybe do the big 3 wire upgrade too.
