Jl amp in water

ok so my cousin got this jl amp for 35 and gave it to me to "fix". he says the subs move but dont make any noise. its a marine amp. im not sure if you can use a marine amp in a car. the weird thing i noticed first was that it didnt have any fuses. lmk what i might be able to do to get it to work. thanks heres a pic but his is the 1800 watt one:

there are none around here i live in the middle of nowhere. but can you use a marine amp in a car

yes the main difference between marine and car is they treat the marine board with water resistence. you may have to fuse the amp on the outside. on the power wire by the amp.

it doesnt matter if its a marine amp or not. have you hooked it up? did he hook up the subs out of phase? its kinda strange that they were moving but not making any sound? does it do it with out a signal applied?Meaning with out RCA's hooked to it?As long as it was allowed to dry out real well before it was hooked up that shouldnt have hurt it..in the manufacturing end of electronics boards are washed after assembly as a normal part of the process to get the flux off em...Alot of the JL's dont have on board fuses either so thats not a big deal...
