JL 8w7 question

i was looking at JL's website and it said that three 8w7's in parralel (3 ohm single voice coil) will give me a final impedence of 1 ohm. Is that correct? i assume it is , since it is on their website, but I guess i figured that it would be .75 ohm? If i decide to go this route I just do not want to risk burning my amp (DLS A6).

How would three of these little monsters getting 400w rms each be for a sql application? they will be forward firing under the rear seat of my chevy ext. cab truck. I listen to mostly rock with a little bit of everything else thrown in! Any other suggestions for an 8" sub that will sound good and really thump?

think about what you said..

I agree with you on the .75, but you have to remember thats a avaerage impedence. Most speakers are lower at thier fz and higher through out thier usable bandwith. These being more or less peaks. High quality amps are usally able to play outside thier recomended loads for short peaks. My 2 cents
