also be careful your not underpowering your 12w7 with a 500/1 amp.....cause im using that to power my 10w7. at times it feels like i could be feeding it a bit more. just a thought

I don't want too much thump, so far the 500 has been powering it quite well.

i was running my 10w7 off of an mtx 8100d(about 750 rms at 3 ohms) but switched to an older fosgate power 1100a2(1100 rms at 4 ohms, at 3???) and it takes it very well with no signs of stress.

nice, how does it sound? im thinking i need to get a bigger amp or just a whole new system (rebuild from scratch), i need a little more power in my life =/
