JL 300/2 running CDT EF-61's?

Hey guys. I have a quick question. I lucked out on woofersetc..I got CDT Audio EF-61FG for $200 w/ free shipping. The deal is that I had gotten a lower model and they upped me to this one for free....I said ok, but now am wondering if my amp has the juice to run these. I have a JL 300/2, 150x2 rms I believe (but at what V?). . States 170 watts rms power handling...I'm guessing it's not such a great

idea to run these off my jl amp? Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!

is the 170 max rating?? if so then 150 should be fine.

It just states.."Power handling: 170 watts RMS"..I'm assuming that's continuous?

its 150rms x2 thats continuous, and that power should be fine depending on the specs on the CDT's

rms = continuous...

and a jl 300/2 would be perfectly fine for running those CDTs

You won't notice a difference between 150 and 170. you'll be fine.

By the way your link on the comps is going to an amp.

You'll only ever get maybe 100W to your speakers with music anyway.

Power handling isn't a required min amount. I wish people could get that through their head. It is an upper limit.

Hah, I know but the guy sounds pretty new so I doubt he has been told that repeatedly.

unless you have the EX-400 crossover it shouldn't be a problem. The 400 crossover should handle it though.
