JL 250/1v2

I have a set of Memphis 12s in my trunk and I am using a borrowed kenwood excelon amp with an audio control overdrive line driver. Great setup I love it, but....as I said, it is borrowed and I have no cash to buy an amp so I put a set of P2s on craigslist for trade, I got a reply offering to trade a Jl 250/1v2 amp and I am wondering if its enough power to really reach the full potential of my subs. I wanna say yes because its JL but only 250 watts. Anyone used this amp before or have any input?

Get the JL, throw it on eBay if you feel it's not enough power & buy a bigger amp. JL seems to sell well on eBay.

its not over rated if thats what your asking youll get a solid 260w or so watts ....

I guess I was more asking if it might be under rated. from what i read online, that 250 is RMS not peak, think it'll do 500-600?

nope it does right around 250... its a solid strong clean 250, but its 250...lol

but like they said ebay they go quick and for decent money... id off it and grab a older fosgate or kicker off here....

man, I know my subs can easily take 800 watts, I just feel like that 250 is selling myself short. But like you said, its a full 2550, and clean. Im still not sure if I should wait for something else to come along
