The mod doesn't make the amp one ohm stable. It only removes the short circuit protection circuit from the amp so the amp won't go into protection when it sees loads lower than 2 ohm nominal. Just pray you never short the output terminals,blow a sub,or run too low of a load on this amp. Yes many people have ran these at one ohm but I am willing to bet they had some hefty impedance rise as well. Its not worth the risk on these amps IMO. Like was said before parts are very scarce and if you manage to blow the amp there is a good shot it is not repairable. Some of the parts used in these amps were already obsolete when MTX started producing them. Last I knew there was no known good substitute parts. Class D amps can be very finicky with what parts will work as outputs and these amps are no exception. If you need a one ohm stable amp or more power than get another amp. Don't try to make an amp do something it wasn't designed to do.
