JL 15w3 vs. 2 12w3v3's

I was wondering what would sound better for my car.

1 JL 15w3 or what i have in my car now (see signature)

also, i noticed that the 15w3 only comes in the v2 and not in the v3. is this significant? (i also dont like the way the v2 subs look compared to the all black v3's)

and what about a 13w3v3? how good is that compared with what i have now?

if ur thinkin of going to a single sub, then switch to a W6 sub.

will a w6 be able to produce the lows that a 15w3 can? or will it produce better lows? i have 2 12w3's right now, which is better than 1 12w6 i know for sure, because it will hit harder than just 1 sub. what about a 13w6 tho? or what about a w7?

basically, what JL subwoofer will give me the loudest lows and sound the best, compared to what i have right now.

You only say that because you can't afford it. No doubt that they are ridiculously priced, but to try and make it seem like they are crappy subs is ignorant on your end. To the OP, while there are many more subs you can choose from and get more power for less money, I would take the 15w2 over the two w3's. Single sub setups rock.

my 10w7 ported hit harder than my two 10w3v3 sealed. but thats also comparing sealed to ported. the dub7's are BEASTS tho, they'll play the Lows much better than the V3's. the problem with dub7's is they love LOTS of power.

do a RE SE 12 or 15 in a BIG ported box tuned low, it will be yummy

I never said JL sucked. They are quite nice, in fact. You don't know that I can't afford them. I could straight up buy 2 13w7's and 2 1000/1s at full msrp tonight if I wanted to. I have plenty of money. I just think buying JL is throwing money in the wind for status' sake. Which is why I recommend avoiding JL.

ya they do, but the 13''w3v3's better cuz they hit as deep or deeper than the 15''w3v2's. and they more accurate

Why not step off the JL bandwagon and try something else out? Or maybe go to a local comp, and see what the WINNERS are running, i doubt it will be JL. JMO.
