Anyone know where the cheapest place is to get (4) JL13W7? I've been doing alot of thinking and have finally decided to do the S10 blowthrough in the bed. Stictly Comp!

By the way, just for a few more details, the entire bed will practically be taken up by the box of course seperated into four equal chambers and braced like you wouldn't believe. This will turn out to be a ported enclosure. Will start posting pics as soon as the box building commences.

I'm guessing you mean strictly comp, as is SPL competition? If so there are better choices than the 13w7, that will get louder for cheaper and possibly sound as good.

The cheapest I've seen on the web is around $650 a sub.

Beware that you are about to get pounded on this site for spending that much money on subs.

What's the price range on Brahmas or XXXs? Are they as durable as JL. My only reason behind JL is I've always dealt with them and have had the best of luck with their products. Always open to suggestions though!

The w7's are great woofers and will probably take their RMS ratings for 20 years straight. The XXX and the Brahma are just as good quality but a bit cheaper, almost half the price. People on this site will swear to you that you will not be let down they are correct. Take a look at these:

If it's strictly competition I wouldn't go XXX or Brahma... Maybe a RE MT, Solo-x, L7's, DD whatevers, but not xxx/brahma/max/anything else sql, not for comps...

I'd go with some incriminator audio dp's. They'd be perfect for your application.

MT's all the way.....if comp is what you want, those will def do they job. the MT's will handle any power thrown to it. IMO the MT's are the best bet for you

for that price of the W7s, u can get 12 L7s off ebay lol...and i garauntee that the 12 L7s will blow away the W7s in SPL...

id say 4 W7S vs 4 L7s the l7s would win SPL but sq w7s would win.

This would be my second suggestion. Very comparable to the dp.
