JL 13" W7 Question...Good Bad?

I have a JL 13" version two but theres a slight issue. The subwoofer works fine...but the dust cap has a small crease/crack. Theres really no affect ont he way it sounds or anything. So im wondering if I just put some silicon adhesive on the crack even though it may sound alot worse it will seal the crack and eventually help with the prevention of it growing bigger. I have two basic questions. Are there alot of better subwoofers that hit harder than this and are within a better price range (around 500 or less) or should i just stick with it and try and seal the crack? Please don't use any acronyms such as RE or HF because I am not too familiar, such as alot of people talking about XXX subwoofers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Yeah sorry I am not on top of it. I would appreciate some feedback!

Just try an seal it up, shouldnt make it any worse. A nice sub like that at least deserves to be fixed.

Theres lots of nice subs on the market that can outperform the 13w7 in different areas, but the w7 kind of beats most subs in its attribute to get loud while still sounding great.

Fix it up!
