Any wat to check for internal damage to sub?

i just recieved my rl-p that i bought from a member of this forum today and the box came pretty beat up with a portion of the motor actually coming through the bottom of the box. anyways i read the coils and they were good. is there anything else i can do to check it besides hook it up and play it? it does kinda look like the top magnet might have shifted(like its not directly even with the other 2 magnets)? i really have never looked at this closely on other subs but was checking it over good to see of any damage. so it might be something common and nothign wrong at all. anything else i can check? i really dont want to build a box for it to check it out if something is wrong with it that i can figure out.

nevermind, upon further inspection of the sub the frame is broken and there is a tear in the surround. mother ****er!!!!!!

Ok, an RL-p has only 2 magnets to begin with so that might be some useful info, but **** to hear that the frame broke. Ill buy the motor for 75 shipped tho if thats any coselation. If you can file a claim then you may come out on top still

seems to me like there is 3, there is 3 different circular sections. and im gonna leave it up to the seller to see what he is gonna do. im not gonna take a loss on something like this, i have already set up a dispute on paypal just to cover my butt. i did take a ton of pictures of it and the box. i should have them posted by tomorrow.

the third piece is the bottom plate. that is not normal. That woofer was definately mishandled, and not properly packaged.

like i said i am going to leave it up to the seller to see how he is going to make it right. hopefully he sees this or my pm soon. im a pretty reasonable guy but i doubt fedex is going to do much in regards to a claim because the packaging was so poor. we'll see what happens.

Thing that sucks is that was the original packaging that came to me except for the box. i even added the newspaper to make a snug fit not to mention the fragile stickers and writings all over the box.

That packing job is shit. Anyone who doesnt send a sub in a crate should look forward to this happening again.
