jl 10w7's vs. kicker solox 12

ok i now that the kicker solo x has absolutly no sound quilty, but, what woul dbe louder to the ears and better on the meter, 2 10"w7 ported 2.7 feet, or 1 12" solo x ported 4 feet.

the 2 w7' would be running at around 500 watts rms each

the 1 12" x woul be getting about 1700 cont all day

like i said, the jl has much more sound quilty, but what ones is gone be louder

It's going to be a tough call on this one. Really depends on the vehicle and the enclosure alignment. I think that the solo X will get louder. A 4 cf box will help with efficiency.

I would have to go with the solo-x on this one and with the money you save off not buying the w7 I would invest into a more powerful amp

good car for spl, 99 civic hatch, real small, the trunk it self is only 6 qbft, i am hoping a solox will be louder, and also, are th ones for sale on ebay trash or a scam, or is a 12 solox for under 4oo the real deal?

Look around man there were solo-x's on here for around 400 zsody had a new 12" solo d1 for like 350 plus shipping I would go to kicker.com and go with either a space saver box or find someone to design you one around 3.5-4net cube tuned to 34hz if this is a daily driver. The cheapest 2 10"w7's i've seen on here were 650 shipped for the pair so the extra 250 you save drop another 100 into a bigger amp, 115 in a yellow top extra change for big 3 and 0ga and try to get allitle more money for dynamat kid cuase the x is going to shake that civic apart:up2somet:

solo x for sure. i have a 18 inch and there awsome. for getting loud that sub will be a very good choice
