i drive a gs300 myself, but i **** right love those ls's!!!!!!!!!!

as for your question, 150 sounds like a good deal. if sub is in good condition and box is too then go for it. u probably wont find that same deal too often.

How is that a custom HO box? Looks like the standard JL HO box to me.

Price is pretty good to decent. Probably could make a few bucks on it in a flip.

my gs is a 2005. i love it but i just dont like the color.- gold. =(

i had an mx in a ported box with aeros, but i poorly built it. so then i made a slot ported, but trunk rattled like crazy. so i built a 4th order ported through the rear deck for 2 10" re se's.

i am on cl.com. i paid 10.5 for it. my gs was the same color as yours. i didnt like the color much at first but after i dropped it and put some nice wheels it looked pretty clean. i learned a lot on cl.com. btw nice gs, it looks to be in great condition!

ko. whats your name on cl? ive learned quite a bit from there too. i havnt been on cl too much lately but i still go on and check up on whats going on.

but yeah i dont like the color of my gs too much either. the color discourages me from doing anything to it cus idk if it would look too good. white paint job with black tint really is my favorite combo. which is why i love ur ls so much. u made it look real good. wheels look great too. u have any pics of your old gs? ive thought about a drop and rims too but i always think nah if i dont like the color too much. maybe a drop and wheels would change that though.

let me know if you have some pics of your old gs. id love to see it.

and thanks i try to take care of my gs as much as i can. i dont like my color too much but i really like the gs line. they are good cars.

**** the gs does look pretty clean. i like it. how much did you drop it and what size are those wheels?

i like my fourth order. i think its my favorite box yet. sound quality is real good. i like it a lot. ive been happy with pretty much everything i throw at it.

its only 2 10"s so eh sometimes i wish it could be louder though. im running on all stock electrical. i got a yellowtop, but not like thats much help. that, and im also running of my stock nav (i see that you are too). im putting out signal to my amps through a RE-Q5.

how does your system sound off a loc? i feel like all my sound quality, especially bass, is really low cus i dont have aftermarket hu.

i have 2 re's of a sundown, and i think i should be getting more out of them.

you know how to design boxes? id like to try a 4th order on my tc3k or maybe 2 12's. do you think i have enough room? trunks about the same size as the gs.

my system gets pretty loud but i know what you mean about the sq, its lacking a bit. where did you get the sub amp signal from? i have 2 seperate loc's. one from where the sub was on th rear deck for my sub amp. then i have one from the factory amp output for the front speakers to my eq, from the eq to my 4 ch amp. the eq helped out alot its also a line driver 10 volts rms i beleive. i tried running the loc from the rear speaker output instead of the sub ouput for the sub amp and i was getting way less bass.

no i dont know how to design boxes. not bandpass anyway. i know a little about ported, but not bandpass. mobious designed my 4th order, hit him up if you want a box design hes really good.

so how do you like the sq out of a loc? why dont you try a processor? thats how i get my signal to my amps. i use a req5 processor. it gives me good sound quality at my speakers and it even has an auxilary input for ipod or mp3. its supposed to be meant for bass specifically and i like it but i feel like i could get more if i had an aftermarket hu. ive had similar set ups with friends that actually had a hu, and theirs sounded diff and much louder on the bass. so it makes me question this processor. also about a year ago i took my car into a shop to fix a problem with the processor that i couldnt fix and they installed a loc for the subs,and i remember it was hitting much harder than with the req5. i ended up taking the loc out cus i have more functions with the processor, but i remember the bass was hitting a lot harder.

talking about this makes me want to go and try a loc again to see the differenace. i think il do that in the next few days. il let you know what the differance is.

but yeah i can imagine what you said about less bass from connecting the loc to the speaker leads. the factory sub wires carry the lower frequencies more than the speakers do, so its the best place.

have you thought about a processor or even a hu all together? i really love the look of the factory nav and how it all matches well together, so i dont wnat to add a double din or a dash kit that wont match but id like to get something that gives me the same great sq output that a hu does.

i know what you mean, i know a hu would sound way better but you know in these lexus everything is intergrated and plus i like the stock look. i want to try a processor though, is it hard to install? ive never installed one myself thats why ive been staying away from them. i saw an audiocontrol lc6i in the classifieds for $100. i might try one in the near future. you might want to try an epicenter through the loc.
