JL 1000/1 or Zapco Reference 1100.1 ?

I think I've narrowed it down to these 2 amps to run my 12w7 but cant decide which amp to go with. I can pretty much get them for the same price so price isnt the issue.

What do you guys think???

i'd go for the Zap and put some a/b power to your subs- also you cannot run balanced with the JL if you chose to in the future.

JL is sweet...their setting are so **** accurate...plus it will everything plus more...

Don't A/B amps **** more power from you charging system also how does the Zapco do at 3 ohms? The 1000/1 has greater features IMO.

At 3ohms the Zap should do ~1kw rms of dynamic a/b power , maybe more if its underated- plus you can have Zapco mod them for ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif to put out max power at whatever impedance you want

I wont go back to class d for sub duty- i noticed enough of a difference going from 1kw class t/d to a 1kw class a/b-same brand amps, on the same pair of subs. Just my preference. Altogether I dont feel the efficiency difference is that great either. Anyone considering running that kind of power should have their electrical up to par to begin with. My preference I guess......Eric Stevens and other ID techs are not too fond of class d's -must have their reasons.

d vs ab=more efficient/less sq or more sq/less efficient. i read the review on the 1100 some time ago. i believe it tested around 1200 watts (ME mag). the only complaint besides it being power hungry was the internal fan. said it was slightly too loud. review reported very, very clean power though.
