Hi there bassheads!

Have started a project in my daily driver. 1996 Jeep xj 2,5td.

Here's some of the equipment thats going in:

Power:

XS batteries, LIB 0 gauge wire.

Frontstage:

4x Hertz SV165.1 and 2x ST44 tweeters.

Amps:

Hertz HDP4

2x LIB 3500.1

Subwoofers:

16x LIB 808-D4

I have some LIB sound deadner. Soundstream EQ. Headunit not desided yet.. Bigger alternator and more batteries are on the

to buy list.

First the doors, the first I ever made and happy with the result. They are LOUD

Made some copper batteryterminals, SHCA lugs, some wireing etc.

Thats it for now. Have not started bass build yet. Need to sound deadn the car first. Not sure what box style I'm going for..

Any ideas?? guess its being a clamshell box, simular to this:

Thank you! It will be a ported clamshell (not so big port as on the sketchup picture). or maybe a 4th order bandpass.

Yes I did.. would have more cone area with 4 18"s. But I had 8 subs, and got a good price on 8 more. It should move some air anyway, I hope //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Can you angle the baffle more to see the subs better?

I remove the backseats, so have good space. Think box will be around 800 - 1000 litres.

If its being a clamshell, I must angle the baffles more yes. Not sure how much..

FS is around 45hz

Those SVs are the absolute best sounding pro audio I have ever heard. Built looks fun. Do you have a link to the amps and subs?

Thank you. Yes those Hertz are good. Alittle more expensive compared to many other brands, but works well.

amps and subs are from here. Only sold in Norway tho..

I like the door panels, I am doing something similar but might steal you idea about using the whole are where the vinyl was, hopefully I will tackle it this weekend. I also noticed your battery is on the driver side, I have the 4.0l so mine is on the passenger side, what size is your battery, if I replace my factory batt. with the agm's I have the terminals want to touch the hood but cannot lower it because the inside fender well is in the way.

I use a XS D3400. Dimensions:

Length – 10.24 in

Height – 7.2 in

Width – 6.75 in

here is my build page, the second page shows my door panel, I want to make it an enclosure that screws in instead of just a baffle but will like to still use the full length of the window so it will have to stick out from the door panel a few inches then taper to clear the seat when door is closed. but after seeing yours I may just follow that line where the tweed meets the vinyl.

I will have a look! I used T-nuts on my door panels, and its screwed from inside of the door with M6 bolts in the original clips holes for stock doorpanels. It was very tight to have my arms trough the speaker holes and tighten the bolts, but its secure and should not fall off if someone slams the door. The speakers are pretty heavy, big magnets.

Here was in my old XJ, single 8" and super tweeter.
