Im going to be building a box for a FI Q 18" sub, and am woundering how to position the vented box (sub facing up, backwards, etc) what are other jeep wrangler owners doing out there? which position gets the greatest output/sound good? i would move my box around and test wich is best but that ****en box will be heavy.

i would never put a sub in with a soft top. so yes hard top. i was thinking about down firing too. does anyone else have a wrangler on the forum???? and ill try to get some pics but my moms gone and i dont know were her digital cam is.

You need to leave enough room to allow for full excursion of the woofer. I say take xmax and add an inch.

As for the port direction, put it on a side and make the box square so you can experiment with pointing it in different directions.
