im lost on getting my **** poss wire through to the **** interior and best buy wants to charge me 50 bucks to do it. its 0awg so i know it aint easy. i dont mind drilling if i have to but where? any ideas or people who know it would mean the world to me....thanks

If its an auto, somewhere along the lines of where a clutch master cylinder would be work well. Its usually pretty thin and straight forward going through the firewall in that area.

In my truck there was a plastic block off plate where a master cylinder would be. I just drilled through the plastic plate and ran the line through it.

$50 is cheap. A standard mono install is $70...

If you want to drill, all you gotta do is look at the firewall. Look down into the engine compartment, find a spot and then just drill a hole there.

I don't get why there's so many of these questions all the time. Running a wire through the firewall is pretty straight forward.

If you drill don't forget to use a grommet, also.

run your power on driver side, rca's on passenger, trust me its a cinch! just did my '04 GC this weekend, ran 1/0. you can pull out the rubber washer that goes through firewall where hood release cable 1/0 fits perfect ;-)

need to run power wire on same side as battery and rca on opposite side

Actually, I did mine the reverse. Seeing as battery was on passenger side, I made use of the compartment conveniently placed above the wheel well that lead to antenna wire, which also conveniently had a rubber washer as a seal to inside of jeep.

All you need is a fish tape and yer good to drag the power wire straight through(I had no problems doing this). You will have to make a small incision into the seal to keep it housed against the wall and able to correctly replace the plastic panel covering the wires at the floor.

Feel free to pm me on the board or email at helruner187@aim.com if yer having problems.

P.S. This was for a 96 cherokee classic btw.
