Jeep center console removal

Hey just wondering if any of you guys know how to remove the center console.....ive gotta remove the shifter I know that bur im not sure exactly how to do that.....If someone could help me i'd greatly appreciate it!

i got a dakota and we drilled out the rivets

take off console lid, pop out all the plastic covers on the console. Should be able to find the screws.

I've already done that, theres a linkage under the console and the shifter connects to it, I need to know how to take off the shifter knob
