Jbl W12gti

i wanna get a jbl gti but the 3/12 ohms thing is killing me =[
What's the big deal about 3 ohms? Get a 2 ohm stable amp and then don't worry about it. In fact after impedance rise they will probably end up showing the amp somewhere over 4 ohms meaning that pretty much any amp will do. Imagine that, a company knowing what they were doing when they designed something...

jbl has done a great job with the power rating to me. (only if you purchase there amps to go with there subs) i can see the gripe about the 3ohm load when running one sub. but running 2 subs wil give a 1.5 load anyway, if you go that route. jbl has something call

efficiency-

1. the state or quality of being efficient; competency in performance.

2. accomplishment of or ability to accomplish a job with a minimum expenditure of time and effort: The assembly line increased industry's efficiency.

3. the ratio of the work done or energy developed by a machine, engine, etc., to the energy supplied to it, usually expressed as a percentage

dont laugh, but name one car audio company that does this to its best?

JBL.

i run these subs, and for the price i see them for on ebay, they are truly a winner and takes loads of power.

^^^that is one of the lamest posts that I've seen on this board. And that's saying something.

Because they can be wired to a 1.5ohm load (which the amp will never see because of impedance rise) they are magically efficient? Pass the doobie on, you've had enough.

There is nothing cosmic about a 3 ohm impedance. If anything it's easier to power because after impedance rise it should be closer to 4 ohms than a nominal 4 ohm drive is.

fart head did you read what amp he has? thats why i said 1.5 ohm load. go back to sleep.

they are efficient if you are running a multiple subs. like i said go back to sleep.

he is porting the box to have efficiency, and tell me how they are not more efficient than any other sub? please explain? you have that many posts and dont know crap!!!!!!
