Jbl W12gti

Should be more than enough. Will it cause the sub to reach its limits? No, but the difference between running rated RMS to it and the power that you have isn't going to be clearly audible.
actually the rms on a gti 12 is 700 watts rms. So he has more than rated power but the sub can take more.

well theyre the same but i got the MK2! i havent decided to go ported or selaed yet i want SQ but anything will be better then my L7 so i think i might go with around 2.2 cubes tuned to around like 30 hertz or so? any suggestions

great choice in sub. i have 3 gti's ported 10in gtis' in a 1.75 ported, they have excellent sq for a ported box. its really hard to believe its ported.

well you are going under the ported rated box. 3.0 ported, i would definently do that before the 2.2 cubes. i think that box you want is to small and the bass will be to punchy, good for rock, pop, but other songs no.

in all reality, jbl mostly does ported box for pretty much all there subs, including home theater.

i would make a 3.0 box, and do the recommend port tuning. you wont be disappointed.

ya my box is gonna be 2.28 after port and sub displacement but on jbls site the box they recomend is 2.25??? thats for SQ the other one they ahve is for spl but they ahve it tuned to like 40 hertz
