hey are those jbl grand touring gt1204 d subs any good? I know jbls used to be pretty good sounding subs. how are they now? They are the ones in crutchfield. any info thanks

They are great little subs. SQ with some SPL (for what they are..if you want just SPL get the GTi or Power Series)

ok,let me ask would you get these or the memphis pr124 d's? i haven't heard the jbl's but have the memphis. which is better for spl?

If you want a lot of SPL, I wouldn't use either. The Memphis's get fairly loud(although the PRs sound like a$$), but I wouldn't build an SPL setup using woofers that are only rated for around 300w. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

You can get Alpine Type Rs in that price range (going off of Crutchfield's price)

The Rs will get nice and loud, and can take 1000w apiece daily with no problems.

What's your actual budget?

no budget but my amp puts out about 750 watts rms and is only stable at 4 ohm.

Good SQL sub. Get a dual-2 ohm for a 4 ohm load. Can be had for sub-$200
