jbl power series

I got a pair from here. They will get here thurseday...

http://www.bargainunlimited.net/servlet/StoreFront

they said if I had any problems, to ship it back to them and they'll take care of it.

If you wait, I will tell you how they are shippin wise and such

they did make a mistake shippin it out ground instead of 2 day (which was a total of 45) They returned 25 bucks for the amount extra I paid for 2 day. So 20 bucks for shipping 2 30+ lb boxes isnt bad.

they are 270 there, for the 12's. I dont think the 10s were continued for 2008 so you might be out of luck with those. Email first to make sure they are in stock.

well one of the main reasons im interested ni this sub is its decently high sensativty... i wanna try to get a little loud without massive electrical upgrades..

but i dont want it to sound like shit.. xmax is so-so... decent magnet size.. and can be had for like $150ish...

the only thing is - i've heard great things about the gti.. and not so great things about the lower model jbl subs... and this one is right in the middle so im afraid it could go either way..

so choices im considering so far are:

1)15 fi q

2)15 fi ssd

3)15 hdc3

4) 2 jbl p1224's

By far, my favorite budget driver is the Dayton Audio reference series subwoofers, specifically the HO version.

I've used the 12 in the past, and currently run the 10s, without a doubt the HOs are the best speakers I've owned, granted the only two drivers that are worth comparing are my 15" XXX that the 10s replaced, and the eD15a (flatcone) that I had years back, and the Daytons easily sound leaps and bounds better.

I do feel however, that they probably aren't as durable as some of your other options, but for the price, IMO they are really hard to beat, especially when you factor in the free shipping that PE is offering until the new year, you're looking at 320ish for the pair.

i will agree, it is by far the best sub i have ever owned or even heard. sounds so clean, and the output is actually really suprising.
