JBL MS-8 or Mini DSP???

I'm looking to add some processing to my system and cant decide between the JBL MS8 or the Mini DSP...

I like the JBL's ease of use and that Logic 7 feature seems pretty cool as well to play around with but it doesnt really allow you to adjust the T/A and features and stuff as much as the Mini DSP. Another thing I like about the MS-8 is that I can set it up to sound good from 4 different positions in the car that way everyone can experience the good sound. But the MS8 is also bigger (already cramped for mounting space) and also more pricy.....the Mini DSP just seems like alot of fun to play around with but IDK if I'm up to all the tuning that comes with it, but I also think I may be able to get more out of the Mini DSP...idk!!! Anyone with experience with either???

Cliffs:

JBL easy to use

Mini DSP gives me more control

JBL can be optimized for all passengers

Mini DSP takes up alot less space.

JBL more expensive.

This sandwich is good.

Which one should I choose????

yea i kinda do too but Im worried I may eff it all up lol. It would be GREAT if the MS8 also let you adjust like the mini dsp. That way I can play with tuning and if I fail, I can just let the MS8 fix it for me.

i heard on sonicelectonix you can make an offer on the ms8 and get it alot cheaper. the mini dsp is 400 plus the $12 isolator and the plug ins which are about 10 bucks each iirc.

Read up on the MS8 on DIY I am also thinking about getting one... One memeber used a ton of processors as said it was by far the best...

I was up till like 4 last night reading about it. I think I saw that one youre talking about. another person said the staging on the Alpine Imprint was more solid and that the voices didnt move like they seem to with the ms8. A number of them said the logic 7 feature is a hate it or love it deal. some songs they turn it off. I thought it'd be pretty cool to hear that kinda processing in a Scion lol

the alpine imprint has only one output rca for the sub, no left or right.....does that mean I use a rca adapter from radioshack?

searching around and the Imprint seems to get stomped on by the MS8 so I dont think I'm gonna be getting that one. unless I find something really convincing about it.

Exactly, I mean I wanna do this sq setup right so if it takes the extra coin then I'll shoot for it. I'm leaning towards all Dayton on the mids n highs since i love my dayton subs anyway so that'll save me some cash right there. The ms8 lets me add a center channel too which I've been thinkin about and has a 31 band eq too. So its looking worth it to me so far

im tempted to upgrade myself, but really i havnt done as much tuning as i thought i would.

For the most part, I'm set on the ms8 it time aligns EVERYTHING which is a big plus over the mini dsp that only ta's each channel. I think I'm gonna do the ms8
