Gotcha. The JBL is probably my best option then, plus 2x 8" have between a single 10" and single 12" of cone area, so it has to be better right?

lol, don't ask me that... i love 12s !!! depending on music, 12s offer more bass but most 8s / 10s have better resposes to faster beats, but if it came down to a shallow mount 12 or 2 8s... 2 8s all day....

Ok, next question to those who've used them- how much clean power can these really take? Given my amp's birth sheet, I estimate the 2 ohm load power to be somewhere between 550 and 600 watts, so each JBL in a pair could be getting almost 300w of power in a ported setup.
