Hi all, I'm new here, I'm a keen car enthusiast from the UK and have a problem with my JBL monoblock amplifier which seems to have me and my mates confused.
I have 2 JBL grand touring amps running off a distributor block and a single remote wire split, one amp powers the front components and the other powers the sub. I noticed today that my sub wasn't working, so I pulled up on the next service station to have a look thinking it was a loose terminal. But I noticed right away there was no blue light on the monoblock amp or any protection mode light. I checked the power, ground and signal connections, all was well. I then had a look at the fuse on the distributor block, and swapped it around for the one for the multichannel jbl which was working, still nothing, so I had a look at the fuses ontop of the amp, and swapped those around for the working amp, turned out it wasn't the fuses at all. I'm going to have a look at the RCA tommorow, but would the amp light up with power even without RCA connected?
