Hey guy i have an older jbl gto3501 and it came with a remote bass knob and i currently would like to install it but dont Have the remote bass knob atm and just wanted to know if the manual adjustments override the bass knob of its not plugged in or do i need it to get my fine tuning??

You dont need the knob. If it is a "bass boost" type of knob, all it will do is induce distortion. Bass boost on amp should be at 0.

If it is a "gain" knob, it will attenuate line voltage, and max will be the point at which your gain dial is set.

So set your adjustments properly and no knob is needed

 
Ahh k i believe it controlled the gain could be wrong though was just nice to be able to control it from the drivers seat
