JBL GTO1014D or ID Tidal Audio?

I can get either of these subs for roughly the same price and both are almost indentical spec wise. I do prefer the screw-down type connectors the JBL has over the blade type the ID has (I hate those dam things), but that can't be the determining factor. Which one would you choose and why?

Hmm, I prefer the ID type terminals. If you are looking for a good budget sq sub that Tidal 12 is hard to beat. At first I thought it was lacking on the lower end, but after breaking in a little bit they seem to get lower.

fyi, I'm one of the very few who have used the Tidal I believe.

You're the first person I've ever heard of who prefers the blade type connectors. They always seem to break off. That's why I prefer the screw-down type.

The subs I'm considering are 10s, not 12s. I have heard the Tidal drivers use many of the same components ID uses in their higher priced units, and I know they make good quality stuff, but the JBLs look pretty decent too.

I haven't heard, or used the JBL. I guess the spring loaded connectors can cut smaller wire, but when I have large gauge wire I don't really see that as much.

The Tidal audio sub would be comperable to the ID series of subs, and a very good value. very musical, but possibly lacking a little in the low end if you crank it.
