JBL GTO1004 jumps in and out of protect.

Well I just picked up the amp on craigs, brought it home, and plugged it up to the car via a jumper from 12v to rem. just to test it. It starts up with the blue power light on, then switches to protect, then it will give me 1 second of power and a few seconds of protect. It just cycles like that. The fuses looked okay so i'm wondering what the deal is.

power supply, bad ground, this happened to me when i had an amp wired to low of impedence

looks like cracking @ the speaker terminals right below the bend. unscrew the terminals from the end plate and check for movement. power, too.

hmm, where can you see the cracking? I do have a multimeter so I can check diff parts of the board if needed. what should I check?

Problem solved!!!! Took it to my buddys shop where it originally came from and it was still under warranty! 25 dollars worth of shipping later and I have a BNIB amp! Not only that, but it is a SICK amp. Way more power than rated and sounds so clean.
