Invert it and find out. If the same thing happens, then assume it's the sub. If not, assume it's the box and build a new one for further testing.

id really try a new box. i have two in a 2.25 cube(per chamber) dual slot vented box tuned to about 36 hertz and they sound great.....

I have a W10GTi in 1.75 tuned at 27 running off GTO 601.1 and it doesnt have this clicking sound you speak of. Sorry for yours doing that. Its a great sub just hope you get it figuredout soon!

Just invert it and find out! Asking all these questions isnt gonna solve nething. Try it, and see if it works, and if it doesnt then get back to us.
