JBL GT or SONY P5

The XXX is louder but it needs more db to get its potential. The XXX is still louder!! Honestly I think sensitivity is bs, look at the power Hx2 it has 85db and its loud as hell. Syko your pissing me off, welcome to the list. I don't even worry about sensitivity when buying subs, its bs.
what king of amp are u using cuz i dont send db's to my subs. i send watts. i think u have some of your terms confused

hmmm well SENSITIVITY DOES MATTER ALOT HIGHER is GOOD...
You don't know that, your asking which sub to buy. The way its definition is written it seems like the lower the better. Because it states like for example say a sub has 85db and 87db, its takes that 85db sub less to get to full potential and the other needs more to get full potential. Who knows!!! I'm just reading what its says...

By db it means decibals.. Like I said sensitivity in my mind is bs. Read my sig that has my setup your asking what amp. I don't have terms confused. Read the definition of sensitivity.

Only if you are using a small amount of power. Higher is not always better!
Yes thank you db!!

This is the definition of sensitivity...

Generally speaking, this refers to minimum required signal at the input of an audio device in order to produce the rated output. For speakers, sensitivity refers to the SPL produced by a reference input. Typically it refers to the sound pressure level measured at 1 meter with a 1 watt input.

no the 87 db needs less to get louder. decibels and watts are two different things. the way you are saying things is that decibels are watts. and the way u r saying things dbs are input but dbs are the output of the sub. can any1 explain this better to him. i cant seem to put this in words
