JBL BPX 2200.1 Electrical Issue

My gave me his JBL BPX 2200.1 that doesn't work. He told me that he accidentally touched together the negative and positive wire connections on the channel 2 speaker outputs. That obviously caused a very loud electrical pop and it's been lights out ever since for the amp. Is there any hope in fixing this thing or is it better off tossing it?

certainly fixable, if you have the background and tools to diagnose and perform the repair yourself.
