It is a shame you have to run 2 subs at 1ohm to wire parallel into a Class D monoblock. I have done it, but just knowing I have anywhere from 1% to 10% thd bugs the crap out of me. And just a thing about running 2 subs in series bugs me too. I know it doesn't matter, but I guess it is just the + to - connection presents the idea in my brain of phase issues.
Hooked it all up, and it sounds great, Will definately be looking for another JBL amp once I see it on here... then I'll have to get another battery and more runs of wire... damnit, I told myself I wouldn't go too loud with this car.. "No shpat don't let yourself put more then one sub in it " so much for that.

The JBL's will be at their best THD and max efficiency at 4ohms too. Probably a lot less stress on the amps and your electrical with 2 at 4ohms vs 1 amp with the same power at 1 or.5ohms..Not to mention 50x better SQ. I read somewhere that a amp running at.5 ohms rated at 1% THD at 4ohms will actually be introducing upwards of 20 - 30% harmonic distortion at full .5 ohm power.IIRC.
I hooked it up so it's two subs running at 4 ohms on the amp... it's in my spare tire compartment played it for a good 30 mins blasting away and it barely got warm. Loving this amp.
