JBL 1200.1 still considered a good amp?

Someone in my town posted one on eBay at a current bid of $99, might be able to pick it up easy pie. He says it's in perfect working order, and it should be able to power a Soundstream T4-15 pretty nice, right?

I used to have one powering my old L7, but I dunno if it was really a great pick since I blew that sub. Although the amp was doing fine.

Nice amp, just lacks SSF.

I have owned 2 of them and 1 of the 600.1's.

Looks like the current owner knows about the RCA input trick on that amp.

It was good for 0.2dB for me, did 148.6dB w/ an RE SX15 and off that model amp.

For reasons I will never understand, JBL made the amp with two sets of RCA's, so in order to hook it up you had to pick up a set of splitters and hook 'em in. When I bought my other one new I was kinda confused upon seeing that.

Update: I'm buyin' the thing in about 20 minutes. The dude's selling it for $100 flat.

I actually was going to have to put off buying anything at all for a little bit because of some medical bills that just hit me over the head, but $100 for this bastard is just too much to pass up LOL

So if it pushes 1200RMS at 2ohms, the Dual-1ohm T4 would pair up just about perfectly.

Yeah I forgot it's a "BP1200.1".

So I picked it up, and it looks in good condition. A few little scratches on the bottom, but it looks like that was from the installation not from hard use.

i used only one set and mine work. not sure why you had to used 2.
