Jbinn

Here are a few things to keep in mind on the forum. This will generally help you out.
1. Your thread about spelling/grammar is less then a good thing here. If you search you will see it has been posted several times, yet all though a few of us actually would love for better typing to be in place, it is evident that it won't happen. This also drags every one out to bash on you if you complain about grammar/spelling and that you are also making mistakes. There are several college students and graduates here. So when they want to be, they are actually very intelligent.

2. You did brag about having a following yet know very little. You also made a comment that you do not need to be good at math for physics. Which is obviously wrong. You made various other off the wall comments that would make us think that you know everything or are better then anyone else. Not bashing here, just what I read from your posts.

3. If any one trolls you and you troll back, expect it to go for a while. This is the internet and for many this is a place to blow off steam or kill some time.

4. Just come out and say hey...my bad. Let's move on. This will make things easier and you will see many of the member post differently after that.

5. The last and one of the worse I can see. Pointing fingers and passing judgement to others simply because you are upset. You have done this a few times, and this will make trolling or arguments simply worse. You can not insist that you are taking the "high road" when in fact you just make it worse.

As for SPL, yes Ecrack is right. Trunks are the hardest to make loud. Not to bust you down here but a 146 is not loud really at all. It is decent for a trunk setup though, I will give it that. However, it also depends on the meter and the method for metering.

I have played with just all shape/sizes of vehicles. I found that trunks are not as bad as some say..but that depends on the car. Some SUVs are a pita though.

Most here and every where else fall back on tons of power and cone area to make SPL and they focus less on everything else. Not the best way to go about it and it differently costs the most..but everyone has their own idea on how to achieve a level of "loudness".
^This is why pro-rabbit is considered one of the most knowledgeable on this forum...and it doesn't all relate to car audio. I have highlighted his points that I had to learn at one point or another. Just ask audioholic or RAM, we've had our pissing matches in the past and sooner or later you learn to simply let it go. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

And I will be the first to say that RAM is extremely knowledgeable on car audio and audioholic is quite knowledgeable on, well, just about everything. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boink.gif.91933e72f927f2cefc79aff02573090c.gif

Understood man thing is what you may concider not that great others may concider awesome... In my experience SUV's and cars are about equal depending on the SUV or CAR too many people are bent on believe things they hear and keeping it as fact I've experienced a lot of things that defy what some consider fact. Also Physics is math bent but most of it is logic and theory. I'm done posting in this thread I'll let it die now, I just wanted to have some fun first. and wait I didnt mean I know very little I meant compared to some of the people here and in car audio I know very little but I do have a HUGE following where I'm from. I've created a team and done all of their builds and I've done a ton of installs around town and I've actually started my own business which I'm working on getting on its feet I've got a shop and everything.

I will take what you have all said and I will act differently here every forum is different. on SMD they bitched so hard if you acted like the people here, just trolling can get you a vacation I guess I need to adjust. I'm really not that super mature ******* that is overly serious I just get that way in debates and arguments. Anyways thanks everyone for not being the total douchebags I thought you were, with the exception of Tony. HAH.

Im down for a smoke!!! But to be serious if you want people to leave u alone then just shut up its really that simple. They will be on someone elses *** within a matter of days then you can get back to having fun. Or u can keep posting and this will be how all ur post/threads will end up and thats going to get old. Member u already said it this is the last forum you can go to so why are you hell bent of screwing that up?
I wasn't trying to screw anything up man I just love battling the interwebz. I like arguments personally I should have joined the debate team. The only fault I will admit to was the PSI thing and I've explained myself and apoligized can't people just forgive and forget?

If that is the case, I think you need to work on your marketing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif You are not doing well in a very popular forum that is devoted to car audio. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

That's cool and all man I still don't understand the immaturity but thats you bro not me. When I'm your age with kids I doubt I'll ever find myself even on the internet let alone trolling, insulting and arguing with someone a lot younger than me don't get me wrong this is NOT an insult but I couldn't see my dad on the forums talking the way you guys do or even my brother in law. Like right now i'll admit I'm a naive young ******* that has much to learn about life. But what can I say according to everyone here it's the internet you can do w/e you want.

I'm a local installer probably wouldn't be doing too much work for people over the internet and it's just a side job for fun I don't really need the money but I'll be damned if i'm going to work hard for free haha. and theres a lot of people on this forum that would have me do their installs I think you're mistaken and this is the install I did for the 2 CVX's even EXO enjoyed it! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Now tell me that sum ***** dont slap for 2 Kickers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif by the way these are 12's and less efficient at that and they slap harder than my DC's so either I'm a **** good installer or cars really arent that hard to get loud.

Depending on your level of understand with physics would depend on what you mean. I agree it is based on theory as all science is, but a theory is proven via studies and mathematical algorithms. For some very rare people they can just look at the car and understand or visualize what needs to be done and hit right on the head the first time. 99.9% of everyone else this is not the case. I get close when i just "eye" ball it. However, I still rely on math to ensure I am on the right track and to alter what I thought I was right.

Letting the thread die down is a good idea, however, by this time in this thread enough people have posted in a different manner that I'm not sure it will make a huge difference if you post or not.(depending on what is posted of course)

Well, there are plenty of guys like RAM and pro-rabbit that have built up a good customer base using the Internet...it's kinda free marketing and can be quite lucrative to your business if you play it right. Just sayin'. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Probably I'm not worried about it if people can't get over a stupid troll thread then they need to reevaluate their lives :p if not I really could care less what someone like that thinks I must be the first person on the net who really doesn't care what anyone thinks.

The mathematical part of physics is easy it's understanding physics that's really hard. But I get what you're saying. But a lot of people can grasp physics and not know how to count to 10 because it's involved in our everyday lives.

These are the remarks I was referring too. "Loud" is subjective obviously, but it is also objective. So if you refer to "loud" as DB level then you have a long way to go and a ton of enclosures to build and testing to be "loud". If you are referring to what you think is "loud" then your statement holds water with anyone who would make that comment and means pretty much nothing.

Again, not hating just trying to clarify what others and myself are trying to get at.

I'm not too worried about it man it was one hiccup of me on the site like you said everyone has been through it. I'm just starting to learn how to play nice with the kids //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I guess I just came from sMD thinking being professional, astoot and kind of persistant would give me some credit instead everoyne just wants a laid back dont give a **** attitude. Personally I'll probably cut back on giving people help just because it seems like more of a pain in the *** than it's worth in the end right or wrong everyone has to be a smart guy haha.

I agree, but when you apply that to audio it becomes heavily based on mathematics. How else can you figure volume, port area, length, proper sub/port/enclosure placements? How everything will work together before you actually build it?

Understand then using are the main goals for enclosures. If you understand but have no idea how to use it, then it won't help you.

When I see a jeep with 3 12" Strokers and a 6kw amplifier hitting a 147 @ 40+hz and then I see a thrown together trunk build with 2 12 CVX's and a ZX2500.1D hitting a 146 off 32hz I tend to think it's a pretty loud build. Now if I wanted to go back and tweak his system for numbers I could probably squeeze another 2-3db out of it and I think we all agree a 148 is pretty **** loud out of a trunk as you all seem to agree trunks are hardest to get loud. I've also head a 160 and the car that hit a 146 is hella loud I know loud by definition of what I've heard and on the meter. I think anything more than a 140 is pretty **** loud and I think almost anyone would agree. Maybe you've lost sight of what loud is? lol not everyone needs 150+db to be concidered "loud" by definition. My dad wont even stand 10ft from my truck and I don't think my truck is that loud.

I just don't understand what was wrong with that comment... or how it would come off as negative towards anyone. All of the trunk builds I've done got loud easy while all of the SUV builds I've done got ****** scores including mine (which i dont think is that ****** concidering.) So from my EXPERIENCE I've found car trunks not any harder to get loud on the meter and defiantly not by ear almost all trunk builds ive heard are louder by ear. also I AM louder on music whether you want to believe it or not I did a bit of testing after my run and almost any good track played vs tone the track won.

Then we just had a disagreement and nobody looks dumb because when I was talking about physics I was referring to it as a whole not comparing it to car audio at all. I just said theres really no math involved in physics what I should have said is in daily life and understanding physics. You must understand I havn't slept in 2 days I found out my mom has stage 3 cancer about 4 days ago and I've been a mess.
