I don't hate on anybody. I like Kevin. I have no issue with Meade... I have probably seen all his videos. Ant I have never delt with enough to even have an opinion of. I might be a bit jealous of some nice things others have... but it's no big deal, if I wanted them badly enough I would have them.

I don't really care for JL... I do feel like it's overpriced and has never just impressed the heck out of me. Honestly. DD on the other hand... they make a lot of nice things I would have no issue running. That doesn't mean that there aren't things I'd RATHER have than DD, that can be had for the same price or less.

Old stuff can sound really good, but so can new stuff, even less expensive new stuff can be impressive.

I just drive a Jeep and my girl has ALL her teeth.

1. Ant and Kevin have brought a lot of this on themselves. Neither one were exactly what you would call "professionals" in car audio before they stood in their current positions... Both only care about making money from what I've seen. I don't personally have a problem with either of them or Steve Meade, but I see where a lot of the hate stems from.

2. True for the most part, honestly. DD isn't too overpriced though and has great products, and JL has a few good "SQ" products, even for the price. DD hasn't impressed me lately though (moreso with their business practices than their actual products)

3. True for lots of old American/Korean/Japanese amps. There was less Chinese crap back then, but that doesn't neccessarily mean that middle of the road or high end modern amps aren't just as good or better. I have OS Sherwood and Alpine amps and the sound quality on them is very nice compared to lots of new (not neccessarily high end) amps. Of course, those are two of the more desirable brands that made "old school" equipment.

I don't h8 on anyone... Kevin does seem like a douche imo, but that's just my opinion until he proves me otherwise... I just try to EDUCATE newbs posting about their "dream JL / Kicker / DD / Etc. - system opinion requests" That they CAN stretch their dollars further as most of them are also on a "dream budget of getting all this expensive car audio they rattle off about for CHEAP" I've ran DD subs & amps in the past and have built many many enclosures for DD subs for others - DD makes good quality products, no question about it... As for JL... If you are happy getting lit up at competitions by peeps who invested wayy less $$$ then get yourself a nice pretty JL "Just Lost" T shirt to go along with your overpriced system...
