They're pretty deep
meaning closer to the door frame, then the door panel?

so what am i going to need to do
Get/make a wooden spacer to mount over the speaker hole thick enough that once the speaker is mounted on the spacer, it clears the door all while not hitting the door panel once it is put back on after installation. It is easier in some cars than others....let's just hope yours is one of the easy ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

oh true, but would i use the stock bracket thats there still, and attach that to the spacer?

i drive a 2006 chevrolet malibu 3.5l v6, i appreciate your comments

U don't want the mdf to get wet

Also you ll wanna deaden those doors for the best speaker performance anyway so its a solid investment to get some deadener. I may have a little left over i can send u to atleast wrap the spacers

that would be very much appreciated. (as ive just dropped 500 on the speakers and amp) and recently been spending too much lol.

i plan to deaden the doors and trunk later when i can afford it,

i plan on buying a peice of mdf to do this.

to keep my subs in place, near the front of the trunk(pointing away from seats)

so maybe ill have a bit of mdf left over

i guess ill buy a 3/4 peice?

I understand man. I should be able to let u know about the deadener by tomorrow.

3/4 might be enough, might not...depends on door. Just play around with it.
