its hot in Chicago?

was watching on the news that theres a heat wave in Chicago and said for everyone to stay inside. They said the temperature was 100 degrees.....its been 100 here everday, did I hear wrong or does it just not usually get hot there and there not use to it?

not 100. a lot of time it gets into the mid to upper 90's. also when you add the ridiculous humidity, the heat index is around 110-115. i live north of chicago so it's prolly even hotter

the midwest gets crazy humidity. its feels like 120+ out right now they are sayin.

they arent used to it. its like when its 60 in florida, everyones wearing big bubble coats.

A "major snowstorm" here in NC can happen with a couple inches...when I lived in MA, we'd get 10+ feet/season.

ive been to mcallen/galveston/big bend natl park. it doesnt even come close to des moines this time of year humidity wise i think.

Humodity is a killer haha

In colorado where i was for about 2 weeks it was 98degrees but it felt like 70 would in oklahoma

Humidity sucks here, almost 100 every day usually, but suprisingly its only been in the 50's the past couple weeks

yea I understand but I know nothing about chicago's weather besides its windy....I was just wondering because I figured 100 degrees and being told to stay in was a little farfetched.

the humidty is freaking ridiculous here. it can be 75 degrees and still feel hot outside. it's hard to even breath outside sometimes

Here in FL...92 w/humidity @ 55%...feels like 103.
