its a BMW worth it??????

Go for the bimmer....too hell with everyone crying about parts and repairs, sure the repair bill is going to be higher than it would if you had a ford or chevy, but you also must realize that you have a better build vehicle that's going to last you longer if properly maintained than the chevy or ford also....it's like buying a profile amp vs. a sundown amp.....they both perform there appointed tasks for the money you paid but I'd pay the little extra for the sundown and get better performance, better build quality and a better warranty.....and in case any of you are wonderring....yes I do drive a bmw and yes I did spend 5yrs in the car business as well.......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D:D

I had one for a while...two in fact. A mid 80's 733 (good god that car was pimp!) and a 96 328is. (Which was also very pimp in its own way) Both were very expensive to maintain and to drive. Gas, insurance and things like that were all a notch higher when driving a bmw. Repairs? Try 350 for a replacement STOCK rim! Brakes were pretty expensive as well close to 500 including 2 rotors, and I just had to worry about the parts portion of it, not the labor. I guess that bmw (rightly) assumes that if you can afford a bmw, you can afford to keep it on the road. Don't overlook that part, or you'll be screwed.

I loved the bmw I had, best runnen car I owned and handled like a mother fkn dream.
This is true as well. My 733 had over 259k miles on it, and it still ran like a dream. Get it on the highway and it really came into its element. Too bad it had frame damage....

i had an 1990 e30 and that thing ran like a champ

the only thing i had to do to it was reg maint

transfilter was 30 bucks .....eh oil filter was 8

only thing expensive was spark plug wires ($200)

cap and rotor was almost 100....eh nothing to high priced

either way that car ran like a champ all the time and i loved it

they drive very well. its just fixing them thats the problem. working on them is a *****.... period. i understand why the techs charge what they do.
yeah, last week i replaced the headlight bulbs, and the left one was a ***** to take out and put back because the intake in right behind it.
