its a BMW worth it??????

i'm changing cars (currently have a ford focus) and since im now working i am able to upgrade my car

im in the price range of $5,000 to 18,000 for a used car

i was thinking about getting a used BMW but i've heard that hey are mad expensive to maintain

what do you guys think?????

BMW parts are a bit expensive, but BMW's are sure fun to drive. Do you have a specific BMW you are looking at?

Not to maintain, but when something goes wrong you're paying out the ***. Because they need imported parts, specialized tools, and a very select few know what they're doing with these European vehicles.

They're great if you have the money. But if it'd be tight, look at something else.

Trust me, our family friend is a Certified Mechanic for Audi, Porsche, MB, BMW and VW, and unless you have the cash its not worth it. A dealership will charger $160/hour in this area to work on those cars. He does $80/hour.

I wouldn't personally...but thats me. And your not going to find many good shape, low mileage bemmers even at the top of your price range.

wow thats a lotta money. I remember before, had a friend complain about his $3,000+ transmission job for his 300 something class BMW. Those cars arent cheap to maintain/afford.

I have a 08 535xi and love it. My buddy has 00 328 and loves it. Im sure that would be in your price range.
