THey have them here all over the place. I seen some ad selling some sort of license plate cover that suppose to reflect the flash from the cameras. Does anyone know if they work ?

Yeah, they're new to me. What a ****ing joke? What's next? Cameras in the changing rooms to make sure you don't shoplift? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

They work, but in most states they're illegal if you're caught

I know that in Alberta, photo radars do not affect your license in any way, they simply cost money.

And that info regarding the increased frequency of rear-end accidents is misleading. Look at it this way - There are far fewer SERIOUS mid-intersection accidents.

The kinds of rear-enders that occur are because of stupid people following too close, not because of the leading driver. The potential for serious injury (ergo serious costs being imposed on the insurance companies, medical system, etc) is FAR greater for those mid-intersection collisions than it would be for a far less devastating rear-ender.

Did you just get off the stupid bus? I should be able to loan my car to anyone I choose w/o the chance of being incorrectly ticketed. I don't loan my car out that much, but I guess the point flew right over your skull! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
actually, its called common sense dipshit, you are responsible for your car, if your dumb enough to loan it to people well thats your own fault

this is true. from what ive heard on the news is the mid intersections accidents are down like 30% and rear enders up 50%..

they should keep them though but only to document accidents to see who was at fault in case of one

Your response is just ignorant:rolleyes:
You e-roll your eyes far too much to be taken seriously.

Bottom line is you are responsible for your car. You, being the insurance holder of said vehicle, are responsible for any crime your car is linked to with exceptions of auto theft. If you let someone who is not listed on the car's insurance drive your vehicle, you are putting your vehicle and yourself at risk. It's a little thing some people call responsibility.

You should be more careful who you loan your things to. If you loan your vehicle out, you assume responsibility for the things that happen to it. I would think you'd be happy if you found out someone was being disrespectful to you and wreck-less with your property. Its a huge liability to you. Yes, there are ethical dilemmas but i think the overall outcome is very productive. If you disagree that passionately you should either find a more valid forum for your discussion (perhaps city hall) or just accept it.

As a driver you are responsible for everything your passenger does. Like throwing something out the window, not wearing a seatbelt, smoking crack. So why would you not be responsible for what a person borrowing your car does.
