You are confused, that is not how isobaric improves performance, by stiffening the cone. As already stated earlier, it does several things like double BL motor force and halve the Vas... because they subs are working as if they are one.I don't think he'll see much improvement in ISO loading type-R's. The isobaric works by stiffening the cone to allow it two function properly in less airspace. From what I've seen, the type-r has a 100% coverage dustcap which = no benefit in clamshelling.My .02.
