Is this what a blown speaker is?

I try to push my component in and out and it will barely move. It makes a crackle kind of. Also some of the outer rubber from driver came apart from metal. How do you repair this?

Sounds pretty gone to me, but to be sure, put a DMM on the coils.

or touch it to a 12v batt and it should go all the way out

Gone meaning you cant repair it? It not hooked up and it wont push in and out.

Can someone tell what exactly happened by looking at it and examining it?
