Is this too much for a 12"?

People on ROE are telling me to ditch the two sub idea with two eclipse 12" titaniums, because i dont have the space go go with two of them (SIX CUBES).

SIX CUBES for 2 12"s seems like way too much. They said its better to go with one sub with a box built correctly (according to them 3 cubes) with around 45in of port area

This to me just seems rediculous..........Im not looking for a fart box that sounds like *** and thats pure spl........maybe thats what they think. I really wanted to go with a two sub setup, but the biggest i'd be willing to go will be 4 cubes

idk if this makes any difference to you but i had my 2 12" type rs in 4.5 cubes, 5.5 cubes and 6 cubes and 6 cubes was by far the loudest and didnt have any loss of sq.

yea a fart box is usually smaller

Do you guys agree I should just do one 12" at 3 cubes instead of 2 12"s at 4 cubes?

Wouldn't cone area come into play?

espically on that sub.

it has a TON of throw, but the cone area suffers...i think it has the cone area of a small ten.

but im telling you 2 of them in just under 4 cubes pounds just fine.

Umm, there is a significant difference from one to two. My first one was in a 2.7 cube box alone. And there is still a huge difference.
