Is this the right amp for my subs?

Hey! First off, I'm very unfamiliar with car audio I apologize ahead of time for stupid questions :/

Long story short, I got 2 subs for free, already mounted in a box. These are my first subs. It's been hard to find solid info on them since they were made in 2000, but here's what I have collected from the previous owner and websites:

Alpine SWS-1240D (I have 2 of these in one box)

200 watts RMS and 600 watts peak.

95% sure they're dual voice coils.

Voice coils are 4-ohm.

I'm ready to get an amp and get these installed, but I'm stuck, what amp do I need? I've done some research but each site I visit or person I talk to gives me mixed/different information.

If you could preferably recommend me a specic amp that would be PERFECT. Here is what the last guy on Crutchfield has recommended me, does this look good for what I have? Infinity Reference 1600a Mono subwoofer amplifier 600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms at Crutchfield.com

Thanks ahead of time to anyone who takes time out of their day to help me out, I really really do appreciate it!

Ok your subs are dual 4 ohm subs. So no that amp won't be a good fit. What you need is 500 rms at either 4 ohms or 1 ohm. That gives a little more power over rms. so that the amp won't have to work so hard to feed rms power to the subs Now are you looking new or used for an amp ? Do you have the skills to install it ? Do you have all the wiring needed ?

Wow quick reply thanks a ton!

And I'm looking for a new sub from Crutchfield because they provide everything needed to install it and I'm also purchasing 4 door speakers so I want to do it all in one purchase there! :)

Actually they don't. They only give the install stuff if you buy a deck. And then only if the car needs the cheap stuff. Crutchfield is very exspensive to btw myself or and of the vendors can direct you or even sell you every thing you need with all the install wires to

Ohh, is there somewhere else you would recommend me buying from? And could you possibly link me an exact example of an amp I could look into?

Also, if where I purchase it from doesn't come with the cables and everything, how much extra will the cables cost me and what cables do I need? Thanks!
