the ap3000.1 says 1 ohm minimum for each channel or 2 ohm bridge minimum...it says this right on the side of the amp where the speaker terminals are at..
you can try to run it at 1 ohm bridged , but there is a good chance of it going up in flames if you don't have the electrical , or the impedance rise to get it above 1 ohms bridged.....
i fixed one last week , and i have heard a bunch of them. i like them...cheapest 3000 watt amps you can buy that puts out its rated power...
i would buy 2 big (insert your favorite high power sub) dual 1 ohm subs , and 2 ap3000.1's. hook each amp to a sub and bang! you have 6000 real watts for around 700.00 bucks. where can you get 6000 watts for 700.00 ? of course you will need the electrical, but you will be saving lots of money to buy a ho alt, and batteries //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
plus, if you try to run that amp at 1 ohm the distortion goes way up, making it sound like crap, the efficiency goes down, the amp will run hotter, and eventually it will die...lol
it has been said before....its two 1500 watt 1 ohm stable boards internally strapped together.....you can run it as a 2 channel or a 1...
