well i have a cable modem and i wana split the signal. i wana wire up a ps3 so i was thinking of geting a ethernet switch. im not sure if i need a router after my modem cuz its a cable modem. i was thinking of goin from the modem to the switch then to my mane pc then from the switch to the ps3 and my laptop , here is the switch http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156066

lol i know its not but i just wanted to make sure cuz i have a cable modem and i was reading that i might need a router . i can get a wired router for like 30-40 well i can get the switch for 12.00 to my door. oh yea f uck you and i had *** with your dad
