is this right? hooking a 2nd battery up

alright i was told by my local shop that i need to put a distriputor between the second battery and the first. this i will attach the amp into that.... is this right why cant i just connected the amp to the + of the battery thats kinda why i have it back there

your local shop is retarded..dont listen to them.

 
thats what i thought but just had to make sure....... what would the effects of the distriputor do even..... take power from the wire? thinking about it there reallt ****ing dumb

I think you mean "distributor" as in a distribution block. But you really wouldn't want that between the batteries because you would be reducing your wire size....You use a distribution block when you want to run multiple amps from one power wire. If you have your second battery in the trunk then you don't need one, if you want to run more than one amp just run each power wire directly from the back battery.
