Ok, I bought the 1/0 big 3 kit from sonic. I am to run the positive from alternator to battery. Neg. from battery to chassis, and from engine to chassis? 2 questions:
How will I know "ok, this is the one from engine to chassis"?
The OEM wire can be chunked, right?
Also bought 0 gauge amp kit. Comes with 150amp fuse. Any good? Should I even waste time with it?
Amp is SSL EV5000 mono, powering 4 skar vvx-12's. Would it be a waste of 0 gauge NOT to run 8ga with the subs? And with that being said, is it always better to go lower, say 4ga?
Plan to run the subs at 0.5ohms. They are D4, so to do so all I have to do is connect +,+ and -,- on all subs, then run 1 of each from each sub.. correct?
Also, I was trying to find someone to build an enclosure for me, but I may do it myself. Truck measures (in inches) 53(w)x48(L)x24(H) which I calculate to be roughly 36cu.ft. A spec ported box for the 4 subs needs 6-8cu.ft. SO:
Building a box 2 1/2 ft(W)x 2ft(L)x 1 1/2ft(H) would make 7.5cu.ft. and be sufficent??
Lastly, I a week ago I couldnt have even told you what the big 3 were. Ive messed with alot of audio but never done anything "Right". After everything Ive read I still dont know how to build a box to spec when it comes to hertz.. any help there??
I know its alot, and I am very thankful I finally decided to take part in this forum. I have learned TONSS just in the few days Ive been around.
