Is this ok to do to amp?

My amp rack and subs are as follows.

I just dynamatted my truck, and all the vibration is gone, except in my amp.... I was wondering if its ok to put a layer of dynamat or something under my amp on my amp rack to keep it from rattling and if this would work...

Thats great, thats exactly the same setup im planning going right now. Hope we get some answers. I was thinking about the rattling today, and I was just planning on putting some rubber/foam/something inbetween the rack and the two sub enclosures (it would be 3 seperate pieces then basically). I think putting something just under the amp would be just as good.

P.S. Mine is going in my truck, and the two subs will be facing in a little bit. Good luck. looks awesome.

you could prolly do deadener in between the amp and enclosure but i'd be a lil worried about heat transfer over time. IMO, your best bet would be pick a few (8) pieces of rubber stock, small / thick grommets or the like. Put the grommet 'tween the amp feet and the box and then between the screw head and amp feet. should be good.

I would be using dynamat extreme, which is rated for a ton of heat. If i put a layer of ruber, then the dynamat...would this do the trick?

i meant where the screws pass through the bottom of the amp to the box. a 12" square would work too though...

yeah the deadener will be fine.

heat transfer won't really be going down into the enclosure or anything. you shouldn't have any problems mounting the amp on top of some deadener or anything.
